Five Plans. One Right Fit for Your Family

No two estates are alike, so we don’t start with a package — we start with a conversation. Together we weigh your objectives, your property’s circumstances, the risk versus reward, and the potential return on each approach, and we recommend the plan that makes the most sense for your family as a whole.

Plan A : General Public Liquidation

Hands down, our most lucrative option for maximizing the value of an estate. A full public estate sale opens the home to a broad audience of buyers, allowing us to sell directly to end users—people purchasing items for their own homes, collections, or personal use rather than for resale. This approach typically brings stronger selling prices and is especially well suited for estates with a substantial amount of personal property, particularly following the passing of a loved one.

A successful public estate sale requires proper planning, preparation, and a few essential conditions. The home must contain enough personal property to support a full sale, offer adequate parking, be safe and accessible to the public, and be completely unoccupied during the process.

From our initial evaluation through preparation, staging, research, pricing, advertising, the sale itself, and final accounting, Plan A generally takes four to five weeks to complete. It’s a detailed process, but one we believe is well worth the effort when maximizing the estate’s financial return is the priority.

And because Burns Estate Liquidator conducts only one estate sale per weekend, your family receives our undivided attention. We never rush one estate to make room for another. We give each sale the time, preparation, and personal commitment it deserves.

Plan B : By Appointment Only

The same full-service liquidation as Plan A, but sales are made by appointment rather than open to the public. Plan B is typically suited for homes in gated communities that don’t allow estate sales. The same requirements apply: plenty of personal property, parking, a safe and accessible home, and no one living in the house.

Plan C : Buyout

For people who want to stay in their home and part with a specific collection. A buyout is not a way to clear a home — it is a way to realize value for your merchandise, simply and directly.

We buy collections and individual items of value, including firearms, fine art, fine jewelry, cars and other vehicles (anything with a VIN number), and precious metals. One conversation, a fair offer, and the items are our responsibility from there.

Plan D : Seven-Day Accelerated Private Liquidation

Our most chosen plan — of every ten consultations we do, about eight land here. Instead of selling to the public, we sell privately to our network of dealers who buy to resell. They have followed us for 10 to 15 years, and they show up ready to buy. The whole process takes seven days.

Plan E : Picker Sale

For farmhouses, ranch houses, and properties that are a little gritty. Think old-school farmhouse sale — think *American Pickers*. Barns, workshops, outbuildings, and decades of accumulation are exactly what pickers dream about, and we know how to bring them to your property.
